Pavel Latushka: Deputy Head of the United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus, Head of the National Anti-Crisis Management, Ambassador

At the suggestion of the National Anti-Crisis Management, a number of individuals responsible for internal repressions and other crimes against Belarusians were included in the next EU sanctions package. In particular, 28 individuals were subject to European restrictions, including:

Those who fall under the EU restrictive measures are subject to asset freezes and a ban on providing funds from citizens and companies to the EU. They are also not allowed to enter or transit through the territory of the European Union.

The EU sanctions against the Lukashenko regime currently apply to 261 individuals and 37 legal entities. We understand that this is only the first step towards real justice. In the future, these individuals must be brought to justice for their numerous crimes against Belarusians. And we continue to work on this.

Accountability is inevitable. Each of those who participate in political persecution and repression will be held accountable for their actions. We will continue our efforts and continue to work to ensure justice for all who have fallen victim to this regime.
